How do I order a custom dessert?

Please complete our order form under Custom Creations. We encourage you to be as detailed as possible regarding your theme, color palette, and overall vision. While we love seeing your inspiration photos and mood boards to understand your style, please note that we do not offer exact replicas of other artists' work. Instead, we will use your inspiration to design a completely unique creation tailored specifically to your celebration.

How far in advance should I place an order?

Please allow a 2-week minimum to place an order. Anything less than that may require a rush fee.

How do I secure my date?

A 50% non-refundable retainer is required to secure your date. The remaining balance is due 7 days prior to your pickup or delivery date. Please note that your inquiry does not guarantee a booking until the retainer is paid. 

What are your minimum order requirements?

Our minimum order for standalone cakes begins at the 6-inch cake size. See our cutting guide for serving sizes. Our 4-inch "Mini" cakes are reserved exclusively as an add-on to a primary order (such as a smash cake or a small cutting tier) and are not available for individual purchase. Cupcakes and sugar cookies are available with a one-dozen minimum per flavor.

Do you offer nut free desserts?

Custom desserts can be made nut friendly. However, because they are made in a kitchen that has nut products, there is a possibility of cross contamination. 

Do you make desserts with fondant?

At this time, we only specialize in buttercream cakes and cupcakes. We can use fondant accents to bring your vision to life! We do not offer fondant covered cookies at this time. 

Do you deliver?

Yes, we do! Delivery fees are calculated based on mileage and the complexity of the setup required, if requested. Any cake 3 tiers or more are required to be delivered. For standard orders, we offer scheduled pickup windows. Please note that once an order has been picked up and leaves our care, The Sweet Lavender Bakery is no longer liable for any damage sustained during transit. 

What is your cancellation policy?

The 50% retainer is non-refundable as it covers the cost of ingredients ordered and the loss of other potential bookings for that date. Cancellations made within 7 days of the event are non-refundable.

Do you offer nationwide shipping?

No, at this time we do not offer shipping for our products.
