I’ve always believed that the best memories are made in the kitchen. Growing up in the Caribbean, my kitchen was filled with more than just the scent of vanilla. It was the warm, spicy aroma of fresh nutmeg, tropical fruits and floral notes of the islands. I spent those early years watching my mother bake, learning the secret to making flavors truly sing. Years after her passing, I found myself drawn back to the oven. What started as a way to feel close to her heritage again quickly grew into a passion for the craft.
Today, The Sweet Lavender Bakery is a tribute to her.
